Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will be able to describe the legal regulations that must be adhered to with regard to maintenance and repair as well as the documentation of maintenance work (especially EU Regulation Continuing Airworthiness, Part M, 145, etc.), extract the core statements from currently valid regulations and be able to give a short lecture on the points or present them. Students will be able to identify the maintenance/repair measures and examinations that are legally required on commercial aircraft to ensure trouble-free flight operations. They will be able to compare the measures and procedures specific to aviation with those generally applied to technical systems. They will be able to show how a maintenance program for a specific aircraft is developed and the relationships between Maintenance Review Board (-Report), Maintenance Planning Document (or MPDD), Technical Documentation (AMM, IPC, WDM, SRM, etc.) and maintenance program until an IHP is approved. They will also be able to name the institutions and organizations involved, describe their areas of responsibility and describe their interaction. The 4SWS will be divided equally between lectures and tutorials.
