Learning outcomes: After successfully completing this module, students will: _ have knowledge about traffic planning and the design of road traffic facilities, as well as traffic safety, _ be able to carry out project-related traffic analyses and forecasts, as well as make planning decisions, _ be able to use caluclations for noise protection on roads, _ be familiar with the basics for road operation and road maintenance. Module content: _ Road safety and accident analysis _ Road operation _ Road maintenance and pavement management systems _ Noise protection on roads including calculation examples _ Analysis: Transport network structures, transport structures (types, flows) _ Data collection methods, traffic generation models, trend and model forecasting _ Traffic re-allocation methods, preparing proposals including impact analyses _ Study project: Analysis of an accident accumulation zone with formulation of measures [updated 28.09.2020] |
