Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this course, students will have initial experience in working with typical simulation tools in electrical power engineering. They will be able to solve and validate simple problems with the help of these tools. In addition, they will be capable of operating and evaluating common data acquisition and output devices.

1. Introduction to a network calculation tool 2. Load flow calculations in power grids with distributed generation plants 3. Simulation of power electronic systems 4. Model design for smart grid components 5. Validating simulation results 6. Acquisition and output of alternating quantities with the help of suitable tools 7. Economic consideration of distributed generation plants
