Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will: _ be proficient in the basic language elements (data types, expressions, control structures) of Java. _ have grasped the concepts of object orientation (classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism) and be able to implement them. _ be able to apply the concept of exception handling in programs that they have developed themselves. _ be able to use basic classes of the Java API (for example, strings, input/output, exception classes). _ be able to develop algorithms for simple problems in small teams and implement them in a well-structured manner.

After an introduction to the basic elements of programming languages, we will focus on object-oriented programming and its application.
